This is a retry of last Friday's hike which aborted at 3.75 miles in, and also my third attempt at this trail. Luckily, Joshua was also down for another attempt, so off we went. We finally made it to the San Sevaine Cow Camp this time. There was a significant amount of brush in the way, and both sets of loppers saw heavy use. I estimate we spent around an hour clearing brush in the last mile, despite taking whatever path of least resistance was available. We could not find the spring Juan talked about last hike. It was a relief to finally reach the main road, 1N34, after all that brush clearing. 1N34 appeared to be in good shape, and there were some fresh tire marks. At 9.5 miles round trip with around 2600' of gain, this trail was a solid workout. There were no cows.
