A gearmake profile extruded in IronCAD. This is known as a "double helical involute gear". This is how it is expected to look as it comes out of the LOM (Laminated Object Maufacturing) machine.

The same gearmake profile as above, only rendered with a metallic finish in IronCAD. Note how the "machined" surfaces appear shiny versus the duller rolled surface.

Another profile made in gearmake, extruded in IronCAD. This one has a slightly higher diametral pitch and more teeth. This straight extrusion is an involute spur gear.
